Four Finnish and one Danish member of the Climate Leadership Coalition have been selected for Corporate Knight’s list of the world’s 100 most sustainable corporations. The Canadian Corporate Knights is a respected research company specializing in a sustainable market economy that also produces its own magazine of the same name.

Vestas, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer selected as the world’s most sustainable corporation has been a member of CLC since 2020.

The oil company Neste, the mining equipment group Metso Outotec, the retail group Kesko and the banking group Nordea were selected from Finland for the list. Neste ranks 24th, Metso Outotec 40th, Kesko 69th and Nordea 70th. Kesko is the only corporation in the world to be selected for the Corporate Knight’s list every year since 2005. Neste has been selected for the list 16 times in a row.

Neste and Outotec that merged with Metso Minerals were part of the group of organizations that founded CLC in 2014. Nordea joined CLC in 2015 and Kesko in 2020.

Corporate Knights has published the llist of the world’s most sustainable corporations since 2005. Corporate Knights measures the sustainability of corporations using 23 different indicators of environmental responsibility, good governance and social responsibility.
