Climate Leadership Coalition’s Board of Directors has appointed Tuuli Kaskinen as CLC’s new CEO. Tuuli Kaskinen worked previously as the the Director of Consultancy Operations at Demos Helsinki, a Finnish think tank. Tuuli Kaskinen has 20 years of experience tackling climate change with companies, cities and governments. Kaskinen served as a Vice Member of CLC’s Board in 2019-2021. She will assume the post on 1 April 2022
CLC’s current CEO Jouni Keronen, who has led CLC since its founding in 2014 will continue to serve until 31 March 2022 before retiring. Going forward, Keronen will serve as co-chair of CLC’s Advisory Board and part-time adviser to CLC’s Board and team.

We wish Jouni all the best for the future and a well-deserved retirement. We also welcome CLC’s new CEO, Tuuli Kaskinen, and wish her every success. Tuuli has an impressive track record in climate change mitigation issues. We are pleased that she will lead our activities,” say CLC Board’s chairmen Karl-Henrik Sundström and Jyrki Katainen.

We have achieved and grown more than anyone initially could have expected. This is also testimony to how important climate work is considered in Finland and the other Nordic countries. I would like to thank CLC’s Board, members and our team for their trust and excellent cooperation. It has been great to lead CLC and now is the right time to hand over the helm to Tuuli Kaskinen. I wish Tuuli every success and I’m looking forward to supporting CLC’s activities in my new role,” says Jouni Keronen.
